How you would use RTXI for experiments where you need to control the presentation of visual stimuli (to either animals or to simulated neurons)? Would a custom module or a separate software be used for this? I’m mainly interested in experiments where an animal is required to maintain fixation for short durations, while visual stimuli and (possibly) visual tasks are presented.

This project looks very intriguing and promising. The website also looks great!

Would image processing need to be done? If you can set up the experiment to communicate through analog and digital inputs/outputs, designing a RTXI module to run your experiments would be possible.
